glass floats

One of the "charms" of Lincoln City is the fact that every year a civic group goes out and hides glass floats for visitors to find. Sort of like a coastal easter egg hunt for everybody. This year they will hide 2006 of them. Let me tell you, they have some pretty tricky float bunnies down there, I never found any in three years. This year, I found two in my Christmas stocking. Thank you, Kathy! This is an old painting altered to fit the floats... they should be shown in their own environment.

Mystery of the Gorge

This was on my way home from the coast, I missed the initial sight of this, but I think the mystery was captured. This is a point and click out the front windshield while driving which is highly NOT recommended but it works. This is the Columbia River Gorge.

Kathy & Astro

Kathy & Astro on Christmas Eve. Astro is the Real party animal, he just loves holidays! Here's hoping everybody had a safe and happy Christmas.

Ah, Margaritaville!

Mexican food on Christmas... A new one for me, but very enjoyable. This was in the Matlazan and they make a terrific Margarita!

colors

Just goofing around with the photo editor. I thought this would look neat on the black background.

a small piece of Lincoln City

This was the magic spot... not that many people went here. It was accessible only when the tide was right, otherwise it was cut off with no way out for anybody that could not scale cliffs very well. You had to climb over some pretty rough rock to get here. Past this was a beach and the mouth of the salmon river. In the background.. Cascade Head. And lots of agates to be picked up. It was kind of eerie back in here, almost like a trap. More than once, the Coast Guard has had to grab people out of this place when they got trapped by the tide.

Sunrise for some, Sunset for others

This is just a hurried shot of the sunset tonight, I had just seen some photos of a Beautiful sunrise yesterday, Even in the middle of a cold and supposedly colorless season, there is still the beauty! Just a quick lesson here... you really don't have to get up EARLY for a beautiful sky!

Halloween 2001

I know that Halloween is over, and I didn't dress up this year, but here is a picture of one year that I did. I went to visit the store and one lady thought I was part of the display or something. I could have scared her good. I think I got second place in town that night, but I was beat out of first by a cross-dresser! Oh well, I had a lot of fun and drank a lot of beer... through my finger.
