Parked Car

The Corsica is the star again in this shot at the park. I have not washed it yet, but when I do it is going to be bright red!

Spare Time

I found myself with a little extra time before work this morning when I checked on the car papers, so on the way back I took a little detour and went to Deep Bay. We should really use this park more... it is a beautiful spot to relax.

A New Addition

Hooray! We are getting a second car for Kathy. It's a 1996 Chevy Corsica with a lot of miles on it, but I think it will be fine for getting around here and short trips. So far it seems to be doing alright.

For those of us who can not have Google Earth, this is a pretty good map website by National Geographic. Here is a shot of Oroville. If you look real close you can see Silvernail Lake. I have a link on the right. Try it and type in your zip code......

Smoke Valley

Back in the blog somewhere, there is a picture from this same spot showing the hills that you should be able to see. We had a smokey valley yesterday.

WaterBomber

This is a plane working on the Tunk Mountain fire, who did not waste any time picking up a load of water from Lake Osoyoos. He came up valley right over our heads (I didn't have my camera in time) turned, and dropped right down on the lake.. then headed off down the valley.

If you look real close you can see the waterplane coming up off the lake after collecting more water to dump on the fire up by Nighthawk.
