Space Work
While I'm off the planet.... Nasa channel shows work being done on the International Space Station. There are two Astronauts working in the red circled area. They are installing another pair of hands for the Canada Arm. It's amazing to see how big this Space Station is actually getting and how they go about working on it with the spacewalks & such. Quite a bit different from the old Gemini spacewalks!
Celestia
These pictures are from a program called Celestia which is basically a solar system simulator better than most I have seen. These images aren't as clear because I took them off the screen with my camera. The first is of Titan with Jupiter in the background. Notice the great red spot? Most of the white dots are also moons of Jupiter... it has 92 of them!
The second picture is Demios, one of two small moons around Mars. When I say small I mean about 8 - 10 miles in length. That is small in Space.
The last picture is of course our own Moon with Earthrise in back.

Rock Lake
I thought I would try out the tube watercolors that I picked up at WalMart back when I got my new glasses. It just seems to me that nothing is as good as oils... Maybe I just need more practice with this stuff. It was pretty hard to get this paint to do what I wanted, but it makes a pretty good rough draft.
