dock work

Here are some pictures of the dock-building out of six pallets. I had to make some wheels for it to prepare for moving it to the lake.... I was going to use theold bike tire rims but changed my mind to incorporate the posts getting placed into the lake. I got some good looking decking for the top so there is not too much more to be done with it. I might even find some paint... we'll just have to see next days off.

Boat 03/12/2010

The little pull-trailor seems to work just fine....

Boat 03/12/2010

Well, it was a pretty dreary day for a first voyage of the pontoon boat, but after working all morning on a pull-trailor for it, I wanted to see if the trailor would work... and since I had to pull the boat down to the lake to see if the trailor would work.....

Old Boats

Not really good pictures.., but these were my first and second generation home-built pontoon boats.

First Test

I just had to test the boat out before work. Had to break it down into three parts to carry down to the lake, but it set back up fast and within five minutes I was out in the water! Floats nice, and goes faster than my old ones. I can travel as fast as a person walking on a shore road way with little effort. The first thing I found at the end of the lake was the Grandfather pontoon boat that broke loose from the dock last Winter. Great for shallow water!

It Could Be Today

Hopefully... this will be delivered today. Let the Spring, Summer, and Fall fun begin! I will definitely be getting some good photos for my poor old blog with this little guy!
Stay tuned...
