Hawaii

Ha! I finally reached Hawaii and ended up cruising around and around the islands because of a three day storm.
Second Picture is trying to get close in for a scenery shot. I'm not sure these really look like palm trees though.
Must still be a little hazy after the storm.

Hawaii Beach

Oops..... Oh Dear! The list of damages went on and on..... I haven't had a good wreck like this in a whole short while! The crew was pissed!

Canada and Alaska

The waves looked a lot better than this, but it is hard to catch just the right moment when the waves are just right, the boat is bobbing in the right spot and there is a delay in snapping the picture....
Second picture is heading through the Northwest Passage and it was pretty rough seas. A lot of the time it was just the conning tower visible in the waves.
Picture three is another moon shot with land nearby.
Picture four is a closer look at the moon just getting ready to set. Notice the detail in the craters and the reflection on the water, which changes with each wave.
Picture five I thought was a pretty neat shot of the half moon sitting right on the water. Who cares about blowing ships up??? I'm after the scenery! Going to see what I can find around Alaska next!

More Mexico

I could not resist showing the scenery shot as a postcard. The second picture is when I tired of the island and warped up to San Francisco Bay. I haven't played there yet. Nice green colors and flat water just before sunset. Third picture is the island I am by in Google Earth. Notice how similar the next one is..... Not the same exact location but you can get the idea that Silent Hunter is somewhat accurate. Last picture is

looking through the periscope with magnification... I just liked the mountain....

Mexico Island

Click on the top picture for a great scenery shot of Isla Angel de la Guarda between Baja California and Mexico in the Sea of Cortez. I think it is a great shot PLUS it really reminds me of Cascade Head in Oregon. I am always looking for the Scenery Shot when I'm on the Sub......

Cruising

These are pictures of cruising past a couple islands, going into a port and firing a torpedo, which did not give a very satisfactory explosion... guess I will have to go after a ship someday after all.....

Bottom Crawling in the River

I tried and tried to stop the sub and get it to settle on the bottom and couldn't do it...... This was as close as I could get.

Under the Top

When I was exploring the river there was an island and I decided to go to the right of it, stop, and check out the scenery below....

Back to Kiel

For an afternoon of boating fun I decided to return to Kiel and this time I made it out of the Sub Pens. Instead of going back out to sea, I chose to take a hard left and do a little exploring along the river. I pretty much stayed to the middle of the river on the surface since it was not that deep....

Off Galapagos Islands

A little detour off the coast of South America...
