Forde Lake camping trip

I always seem to end up at the same campsite at Forde Lake. That is fine with me... it is more private, and the view is just phenomenal! The only thing missing this trip was BLUE skies.

I will pretty much let the following posts speak for themselves.

First Campstool

Well, it is back home to my own little campsite... resting up from camping. Oops, I forgot to straighten the tree before taking the picture! Now the little stool/table is from one of the poles I brought back with me, as well as a slab of wood. Experimental only, the pole was done with a 1920's hand planer that I got at a yard sale a couple weeks ago for $5.00. Then I doweled the legs with a hammer/chisel method and cut holes with an old fashioned brace & bit. Obviously I didn't get the angle right and it looks like a squid but the legs are tight and now I know I can make little tables and stools ** while camping ** ! It ends up as a table in my campsite.

The problem is rowing and taking a picture at the same time... I never get anywhere fast.... but then I really don't have to, do I?

Okay, it is a pretty poor image with a crappy web camera under bad lighting. All this time I thought my hair was receding but it was just my face getting fatter!

Really sorry about the poor picture quality... A combination of weak batteries, old camera, and near dark.

Pic 1 shows how close to the house the campsite is... a small glimpse of the unfinished diner on the right... Pic 2 shows the bar, Pic 3 is bar, diner, & house, Pic 4 is sitting in the bar looking at the lake, Pic 5 is yup... just clouds.
