After days of frustration and worse, I finally got local scenery loaded to flightgear! I wish it were as good as Google Earth, or Google Earth had a helicopter and Chase Options for it's aircraft, but this is still really really good. The pictures don't do it justice because they are still. Flightgear is a good simulator where you have to control the aircraft in flight.... the throttle.... the cyclic, the tailrotor all at the same time. Very easy to crash on take off and landings. I am getting much better but I have a long way to go.
