I love getting out in the hills. When I get to a place like this, I always think about history and how it must have been for the first settlers or the natives living here; and wonder if they too appreciated the beauty of this place.
You know I wrote a long comment on this picture just after you published it, but it must have got lost in transmission. I like this shot a lot, brings back great memories of the many saturday morning walks up this mtn to Blue Lake with a bunch of my workout buds, Tammy, Nate, Gina and Jerry, and assorted other tagalongs. There is a cattle guard that once crossed we'd jump up, arms in the air, cheering the others on, Rocky style! Good times!
