Eighth Post

I know this is not a good quality picture, but I thought I'd pop in a little reminder of what I am moving back to. This is the south corner of Silvernail Lake where I had my campsite (in my back yard) set up permanantly. I have already missed the massive amount of geese hanging around and getting ready to fly south, but I did see a few of them here yesterday, 500 miles south. This is such a quiet little lake, not that many people really know it is there, and it is more or less a privately owned lake. It used to be a good trout lake, then somebody slipped in some bass. Since I never fished it much, I really don't know what it is right now. On one end, wild asparagus patches, on the other, a lot of turtles. I used to float on it all the time, and especially liked it in the evening and night when it was nice and quiet. It makes a nice little thinking spot, right down on the shore.
